Applied General Equilibrium Modelling ANNARES, STAGE and R23 Models

STAGE_PEA

The STAGE_PEA model was first developed to provide a representation seasonal labour demand of economies with large numbers of peasant households and then further developed to provide an enhanced representation of (peasant) households where there are dependent production and consumption decisions. The model is particularly appropriate in situations where there are large numbers of semi-subsistence peasant households; the model achieves this by relaxing the assumption of strong sep arability between the production and consumption decisions by households. The model uses a general production boundary that extends the SNA’s production boundary to include social reproduction and labour-leisure trade offs by households.

The model was developed with Arndt Feuerbacher as part of his PhD thesis at Humboldt Universityof Berlin.

The model is a development of STAGE2.
